The Bridgeport Café

Nourishing Body, Mind and Soul

Providing essential resources and a restorative space to connect in Uptown Waterloo.

Tuesday to Friday

The Café is open four days a week from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM as a welcoming afternoon space. By providing consistent hours for food and social connection, we create a reliable “third place” where neighbours can gather to meet immediate physical needs and long-term social needs.

Healthy Food & Snacks

We provide hot coffee, tea, and nutritious snacks during all operating hours. We also offer a hot, community-style meal on specific days to ensure that our neighbours have access to a reliable, healthy source of food in a dignified setting.

Clothing & Essentials

Available during Café hours, our “Sharewear” program provides free clothing and essential items to those in need. If you are looking for seasonal gear or everyday wear, you can browse our selection in a supportive and non-judgmental atmosphere.

Games, Art, and Conversation

More than just a service, we are a place to connect. Guests can enjoy board games, cards, or participate in occasional art and music activities. It is a great space to meet people, share a conversation, and reduce the feeling of isolation.

Free WiFi and Internet Kiosk

Stay connected with our onsite technology resources. We provide a public internet kiosk with printing capabilities for essential documents, as well as free WiFi for guests who need to access online services, job boards, or stay in touch with family.

Where to Find Us
