We are a community built by neighbours of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you have a few hours a month or a flexible weekly schedule, your unique skills can help our initiatives flourish. Items and Resources

In-Kind Giving: We gratefully accept donations of clean clothing and essential resources to stock our support areas.

Neighbour Gift Bag: Transform simple paper bags into pathways of care! You can pick up or stamp your own upcycled bag to fill with essential items. Learn more about the program and check out our current and urgent needs through our Neighbour Gift Bag Program.

Do you see a need we aren’t meeting, or do you want to help guide the future of our community? We invite those with a passion for stewardship and local action to lead the way.
Become a Member: Join for a one-time $5 fee to gain voting rights and ensure board accountability.
Lead a Program: Have a passion for art, music, or a specific skill? Share your gift by starting a new initiative or leading an existing group.

Partner With Us: Group & Organization Events and Drives

Waterloo Wayside thrives on community connection through an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) model. We make it easy for local businesses, schools, and faith groups to collaborate with us in two meaningful ways:

Host a Welcome Table Meal: Bring a team of 6 to 24 volunteers to help prep, serve, and clean up a hot meal at the Bridgeport Café, and spend time sharing lunch alongside our guests as equals.
Run a Neighbour Bag Drive: Borrow our rubber stamp toolkit and upcycle paper bags to gather urgent items like clean takeout and yogurt containers for our meal program.
