The Wayside Welcome Table invites corporate teams, university groups, service clubs, and faith communities to bring their ideas, resources and time into our kitchen. Grounded in an Asset-Based Community Development model, we believe that preparing and sharing food is not an act of charity, but an opportunity to break bread and be together as equals.
How It Works
Event Day & Shift Structure
Chop, prep fresh ingredients, and set up serving stations under Kitchen Lead direction.
Plate meals, manage the service line with dignity, learn guest names, and sit down to share food.
Wash dishes, sanitize prep surfaces, sweep, and restore the kitchen to baseline.
- Signage: A customized thank-you message with your organization’s name and logo is displayed beside the serving window.
- Applause & Cake: All volunteers are called together for a round of applause and a custom thank-you cake shared with the entire room.
- Certificate of Appreciation: A formal keepsake certificate is presented to your team during the celebration.
