At Waterloo Wayside, we are leaning fully into this vision. We are evolving into a true platform for connection, deliberately designing a space where people can naturally extend their social networks to include neighbours, groups, and perspectives they might not otherwise meet in their day-to-day lives.
As the Region of Waterloo navigates a critical moment in its history, social infrastructure is more vital than ever. Wayside is proud to be a cornerstone of that infrastructure, bridging gaps and fostering a deeper sense of belonging.
Now, we are looking for the right person to help us run this platform.
A Fond Farewell to Sadie
As we look to the future, we are also celebrating the incredible foundation we are building upon. Our wonderful Program Coordinator, Sadie, is moving on to her own next chapter. We are immensely grateful for her dedication, her energy, and the massive heart she poured into Wayside during her time with us. She leaves big shoes to fill, but also a legacy of community warmth that we are excited to carry forward.

This isn’t just an administrative role; it’s an invitation to make an oversized impact right here in Waterloo. Working closely with our dedicated team and supported by the region’s robust social services ecosystem, you will be the hands-on facilitator of our daily programs and community spaces.
We are looking for someone who is:
- A Natural Connector: Someone who thrives on building relationship bridges across diverse groups.
- An Action-Oriented Organizer: Ready to manage the day-to-day logistics that keep our programs vibrant and safe.
- Community-Minded: Passionate about local social infrastructure and eager to collaborate with the broader Waterloo ecosystem.
