This past April, funds raised at the Waterloo State of the City event have been generously directed to our community and programs at Waterloo Wayside. Hosted by Rotary Waterloo, this years event was one of the most successful – thanks to the support of various organizations, businesses, and individuals that comprise our regional community of Waterloo! Following the event, we received a large load of canned goods and some grocery cards, which will supplement our weekly Food Bag program and Bridgeport Cafe, lunch program, respectively. This past week, we were pleased to be the recipients of a cheque, amounting to $30,098.77.
This funding will greatly support Wayside to continue running programs and confidently expand and grow with the needs identified within the community. A big thanks to the team at Rotary Waterloo and Mayor McCabe for your ongoing support and dedication to ensuring all within our community can access the supports they need, contribute in a meaningful way, and create social infrastructure that reflects real connections.
